mywi and macs

I have recently downloaded the mywi trial from cydia, however it doesnt work with my macbook on wifi teathering when i turn on mywi on wifi and try to connect to it on my macbook it shows up as my mac connected to a device and i am unable to get internet access.

my iphone is on ios4.2.1
